“The city yet to come is a ‘city that has foundations, whose architect and builder is God’ (Heb. 11:10). His plan calls for an intense work of construction, in which all of us must be personally involved.”

Message of His Holiness Pope Francis for the 108th World Day of Migrants and Refugees

A Day of Prayer for Refugees and Migrants is set aside each year to fall as close as possible to World Refugee Day on 20 June.  Caritas prepares resources for this day on behalf of the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference.

In 2023, the Day of Prayer for Refugees and Migrants falls on 18 June, the Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time.

The theme for this year is ‘Building a Future for All.’
