In these weeks, something beautiful is unfolding across our Diocese.

The Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition, curated by Carlo Acutis, has already begun its journey — quietly, faithfully drawing people into encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist. And soon, we will welcome Carlo’s relic among us as part of this same movement of grace.

This is not simply a programme moving from place to place.
It is a pilgrimage of encounter.

Each panel tells the story of a Eucharistic miracle — moments across history where God has made visible what we believe by faith:

That Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist.

Yet the purpose is not simply to inform. It is to invite.

To move from knowing about the Eucharist, to encountering the One who gives Himself to us.

Already Among Us

The journey began in New Plymouth, where the exhibition was hosted through the collaboration of Francis Douglas Memorial College, Sacred Heart Girls’ College, and the Catholic Parish of New Plymouth, centred at St Joseph’s Church and Hall.

From there, it travelled to Stratford, where it was welcomed by St Joseph’s School and the Parish of the Immaculate Conception.

In each place, something simple yet profound has been taking place: people pausing, reading, praying, and rediscovering the mystery at the heart of our faith.

The exhibition continues its journey to the Catholic Parish of Whanganui, before travelling on to Napier, Hastings, and finally Palmerston North, where it will culminate alongside the visit of Carlo’s relic.

Across these communities, schools, parishes, and families are being invited into the same encounter.

The Witness of Carlo Acutis

Carlo’s life gives this exhibition its deeper meaning.

A teenager of our own time, he loved the Eucharist with simplicity and conviction. He attended daily Mass, spent time in Adoration, and used his gifts to share the faith with others.

He reminds us that holiness is not distant or unattainable. It is possible here. It is possible now.

The Relic Mission: 10–13 June

From Wednesday 10 June to Saturday 13 June, the Diocese will welcome a relic of Carlo to the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Palmerston North.

During these days, there will be opportunities for:

    • Eucharistic Adoration
    • Veneration of the relic
    • Holy Mass and prayer
    • School and parish pilgrimages

Relics are signs of communion with the saints. They draw us into the reality that the Church is alive — that those who have gone before us walk with us and intercede for us.

Come and See

We warmly invite you, your parish, your school, and your family to take part in this journey.

Visit the Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition in a community near you or make a pilgrimage to Palmerston North during the days of the Relic Mission.

Come with openness.
Come with faith.
Come ready to encounter.

And perhaps, like Carlo, we may discover again:

The Eucharist is our highway to heaven.
