Over the weekend of 28 – 30 August, 14 young women gathered in Palmerston North for Known & Called, a women’s retreat focused on Ignatian discernment and discovering God’s call in their lives.
Led by Rachel and Rosie, Missionaries of God’s Love Sisters, the retreat provided a beautiful opportunity for the young women to step away from the busyness of everyday life and make space for prayer, reflection and conversation with God.
Drawing on the wisdom of Ignatian spirituality, the retreat explored how we can recognise God’s presence and movement in our lives, helping participants to grow in freedom and confidence as they discern the path God may be inviting them to follow.
Through times of prayer, teaching, silence, sharing and fellowship, the young women were encouraged to remember that God knows each of them personally and has a unique call and purpose for their lives.
It was a grace filled weekend of community and encounter, giving these young women the space to listen more deeply to the Lord and to consider with greater openness the question: “Lord, what are You calling me to?”
